Each bag contains 10 copies of a selected title,
a facilitator’s guide to leading a book discussion group, background material on the book and the author,
and a list of questions to facilitate discussion.

Who can borrow a bag?

Any patron may borrow a bag. The bag is checked out on the library card of the patron picking up that bag.

Do any bags come complete with large print or audio books?

Yes, some of the bags have large print and/or audio as a component of the kit. These items count toward the total of 10 copies.

Where are Book Club bags located?

Book Clubs in a Bag are located at the Doylestown branch but may be requested through any county library. One can also request a bag by placing a hold.

How long is the loan period?

The loan period on the bag is six weeks.

Can I renew the bag?

The bag can be renewed once provided no other group has reserved that particular bag.

Is it possible to become a book club facilitator?

Yes! The library is in search of volunteers interested in going to places such as senior centers, nursing homes and other public facilities to run a book club. If you're interested, please contact the library at 215-348-0332, extension 1131. Training is provided!
