2009 Lemonade Stand Contest

When Life gives you lemons. . . . Run a Lemonade Stand!

 

For kids 7- 12 years old.

Learn about running your own business and have fun! Win a $2,500 savings bond!  
Prizes will also be awarded for runner up and honorable mention.

Contest Rules---Read these over carefully:
  lemonbullet1. Register your stand! Print up the registration form by clicking here. Have your parent sign the form and bring it to your local library any time. When you turn in your registration, you’ll get your official submission form.
lemonbullet2. Design your own lemonade stand, build and decorate it.
lemonbullet3. Pick a day at some point between July 1 and August 15 to sell your lemonade. You choose your location, but make sure you get permission to sell your lemonade on that site. You are fully responsible for all operations of your stand.
lemonbullet4. Take pictures! Record your experiences! Have fun!
lemonbullet5. The money you make is yours to do with what you wish---open a savings account, donate it to charity, save for college, etc.
lemonbullet6. Tell us about your experiences by filling out the submission form. You can bring it into your local Bucks County Public Library no later than August 17, 2009 . We can’t accept submissions if you haven’t registered your stand.
lemonbullet7. Include no more than two pictures of your stand with your submission. You can print them up and hand them in with your submission form or send them to us at lemonade@buckslib.org. Please make sure the photos are clearly labeled with your full name and phone number.
lemonbullet8. The winning stand will be selected based on creativity of design, how well you ran the stand and the best business plan.
lemonbullet9. A runner-up prize of $1,000 bond will also be awarded. Two $500 savings bond Honorable Mention prizes will be awarded to the most creative stands.
lemonbullet10. Winners will be notified by September 1. Prizes will be awarded at the Yardley Branch of the Bucks County Free Library in September, 2009. The names of all winners will be posted on the Bucks County Library website.
Contest entry form and pictures become the exclusive property of the Bucks County Public Library. In the event of a group submission, prizes will be divided among the group members.
