One Book / One Bucks 2005

From January 2005 to May 2005 approximately 2115 people of all ages and backgrounds participated in Bucks County Free Library’s first One Book project. The themes and formats of Art Spiegelman’s Pulitzer Prize winning graphic novel, Maus, were explored through a variety of programs – book discussions, art exhibits, scholarly lectures, comic art workshops, plays, a film series, and 2 special events: a panel of comic book luminaries (Scott Hanna, Eric Wight, Doug Moench, Joe Kubert, Danny Fingeroth, and an appearance by the author, Mr. Spiegleman.

The Resource Guide and Teaching Resources provide of wealth of information on Spiegelman, graphic novels, the Holocaust, and understanding Maus. Libraries and organizations are free to use this material but we request that the Bucks County Free Library be credited if you do so.
