Wooden children’s puzzles go digital in this delightful app that makes developing eye-hand coordination, spatial reasoning, shape recognition, and other early literacy skills into a game.
Easy, medium, and not-too-hard puzzle boards are presented with the objects or shapes that complete them. Toddlers are rewarded for their successful piece placement. Frustration stays at a minimum when after a few tries, the child is prompted with the correct placement of the puzzle piece. Animations and snazzy sound effects help bring the puzzles to life.
Come in to any of the seven branches of Bucks County Free Library (Bensalem, Doylestown, Langhorne, Levittown, Perkasie, Quakertown, and Yardley) to try out Tozzle the Early Literacy App of the Week, or get it from the iTunes app store. There’s a free lite version that has three puzzles and the complete version offering 44 puzzles.
